IThe amount of conductive heat energy (BTU’s) transferred through one square foot of a glazing system for each 1oF temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor air. It is used to measure how good a glazing system is at retaining heat.

Tip: The lower the U Value, the better the insulating qualities of the glazing system. 		U-Value -
IEmissivity is a measure of a surfaces ability to absorb or reflect far-infrared radiation. (Note: Infrared radiation is effectively heat.) It is used to measure the heat retention qualities of the glazing system.

Tip: The lower the Emissivity, the better the insulating qualities of the glazing system. 		Emmisivity -

IThe ratio of solar heat gain passing through a glazing system to the solar heat gain that occurs under the same conditions if the window were made of clear, unshaded double strength window glass. This is used to measure a films ability to combat solar heat gain.

Tip: The lower the number, the better the shading qualities of the glazing system 		Shading Coefficient -
IThe percentage of total solar energy rejected by the glazing system. It is equal to the solar reflectance plus the part of solar absorption that is re-radiated outwards.

Delivery Information

ARC Window Films company policy is to despatch all orders received before 1pm the same working day. We will endeavour to despatch orders received after this time the same day, however due to courier deadlines this cannot be guaranteed. All orders are delivered by our courier.

Please note that deliveries do not take place over the weekend, so orders placed on a Friday will be due for delivery on Monday. Orders received over the weekend will be despatched the next working day.

All orders placed online are eligible for free UK delivery, however due to restrictions we are unable to offer free delivery to the following postcodes:

Free delivery is not available outside the UK.
